How Osmo keeps children safe.

Stories

• Only trusted science publishers, never social media or user posts.
• A word filter, then an AI safety editor that rejects anything frightening or adult. When unsure, it leaves the story out.
• A person approves every story before children see it.
• Children can flag a story in one tap. A "scary" flag hides it immediately.

The app

• No chat, comments, sharing or contact between users.
• No ads, no tracking, no in-app links to the open web for children. Original articles and settings sit behind a grown-ups-only check.
• Purchases only behind the grown-ups check. Children never see prices.
• No streaks or pressure to keep using the app. Stamps and ranks only ever go up.

Artificial intelligence

AI helps rewrite and translate stories and makes the Plus narration. It never talks with children, and children can't type anything to it. Every AI-written story is checked by a person.
