Children's privacy (COPPA)

Last updated 18 October 2026

This is our direct notice to parents under the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar children's privacy laws. Osmo is made for children, so these protections apply to everyone who uses it.

Who runs Osmo

What we collect from children, and how we use it

Only what a child's app needs to work: a random Osmo ID created by the app, a nickname (we ask children not to use their real name), grade, space-suit colour, chosen topics and language, and what they read, answered and reacted to. We use it only to show stories at the right level and to show the child their own progress. We don't collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, photos, voice, location, contacts or advertising IDs.

What we never do

Parental consent

A parent or guardian must agree before a child profile is created. Original articles, settings and purchases sit behind a grown-ups-only check that a young child can't easily pass.

Your rights as a parent

You can review your child's information, ask us to delete it, and refuse any further collection at any time. In the app: Passport โ†’ Grown-ups โ†’ Delete all data (instant). Or email info@neobound.ai with the Osmo ID. See also Delete your data and our full Privacy Policy.

India

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, anyone under 18 is a child. We obtain the consent of a parent or lawful guardian, and we don't carry out tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children.
